What you will do
- Lead technical assessments of newly upcoming technologies, systems and solutions as part of next generation mobile networks (5G Advanced, 6G) design.
- As a project manager, lead and execute trials and PoCs of new technologies mainly in the area of CN, IP networking and data analytics. Work with various system vendors.
- Based on technical assessments, provide recommendations and present results within DT group.
- Search for CN, IP networking and big data analytics technologies that might be of future use in DT group.
- As a project manager, lead and execute trials and PoCs of new technologies.
- Be a single point of contact for new suppliers and start up companies, provide solution assessment.
- Prepare existing network topology for smooth future development in a systematic manner.
- Present outcomes of successful research work on international conferences and fairs.
- Define technical requirements and prepare questionnaires, tenders addressed to technology providers.
- Initiate and organize internal courses in order to share gained knowledge about upcoming technologies.
Required knowledge and skills
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Previous experience in telecommunications, ideally in System or Network Engineering
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Core Networks, IP networking, Data Science, IT Security, or Artificial Intelligence
- Solid understanding of mobile telecommunications networks
- Good knowledge of 5G, 5G Advanced, and 6G technologies
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, IT infrastructure, data management, and virtualization
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, MATLAB, or R
- Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or Perl
- Project management skills and experience coordinating technical activities
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and demanding environment
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Team-oriented mindset and collaborative approach
